Privacy, Logging and Data Collection
Keeping Your Data Private and Secure
When using AI tools and API services provided through EAGM Gateway, your data may pass through different secure processing layers. We are committed to giving you full transparency and control over how your data is handled at each stage.
This section explains in clear, practical terms how prompts, responses, logs, and metadata are processed, stored, and used within our systems and by our integrated technology partners.
1. Data Handling Within Our Platform
By default, we do not store the content of your prompts or responses.
Your API requests are processed in real time and then securely discarded, unless explicit consent for diagnostic logging is enabled in your account settings (e.g. for debugging or performance analysis purposes).
If diagnostic logging is activated:
- Only the minimum necessary information is stored
- Logged data is encrypted and automatically purged after a short retention period (maximum 30 days)
- Logged data is never used for AI training, analytics beyond system performance, or shared with third parties
Metadata Collection:
We may collect non-identifiable metadata (such as token usage, latency, error types, and request counts) to:
- Monitor system performance
- Improve reliability and capacity planning
- Display usage statistics to account owners
Metadata does not include the text content of prompts or completions.
2. AI Provider Integration Policies
EAGM Gateway integrates with multiple AI model providers to give users flexible access to leading language models:
- Anthropic (Claude models) - Claude Opus 4.1, Claude Sonnet 4, Claude Sonnet 4.5
- OpenAI (GPT models) - GPT-5
- Google (Gemini models) - Gemini 2.5 Pro
- X.AI (Grok models) - Grok 4 Fast
Each provider has its own data retention and training policies. We select and collaborate with providers that meet our minimum privacy and security standards.
3. Data Policy Categories
For clarity, we classify AI providers according to their data-handling policies:
🟢 Zero Retention – No Training
Providers that do not store prompts or completions and do not use user data for training.
- Examples: Amazon Bedrock, Groq, DeepInfra, Fireworks, Together AI
🟡 Limited Retention – No Training
Providers that temporarily retain prompts for operational reasons (e.g., error recovery, abuse prevention), typically up to 30–60 days, but do not train on user data.
- Anthropic: Retained for 30 days, does not train
- Google AI Studio: Retained for 55 days, does not train
- Mistral: Retained for 30 days, does not train
- xAI (Grok): Retained for 30 days, does not train
- Azure: Retained for 30 days, does not train
🔴 May Train on Prompts
Providers that, under their terms, may use prompts to improve their models. Routing to these providers is fully optional and disabled by default.
Most of our integrated providers (Anthropic, Google, xAI, Mistral) retain data for 30-55 days for operational purposes but do not use your data for training. Zero-retention providers (like Groq, Fireworks) do not store any data.
4. Data Retention and Logging Standards
- We apply AES-256 encryption to any stored logs and TLS 1.3 for data in transit
- Logs (if enabled) are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are securely deleted
- We do not store API request content for training, marketing, or profiling purposes
- Providers' retention and training policies are publicly listed for transparency
- You can opt out of any data retention through your account settings at any time
5. User Control and Transparency
We believe in user sovereignty over data. Therefore, you can:
- Disable prompt/content logging at any time
- Select which AI models are used for your requests
- Review provider-specific privacy policies in your dashboard
- Restrict your API calls to providers that match your privacy requirements
